Mohammad Hafeez Pakistan's famous all-rounder was reported for suspect action after first test in Galle. According to ICC rules and regulations, he is allowed to bowl until the results of his bowling action test are out, and proved illegal.
Hafeez has been reported before in November last year and was banned from bowling in December, He had an elbow extension as high as 31 degrees but after his hand injury, Hafeez cleared his action and was cleared to bowl.
Mohammad Hafeez missed the third Test against Sri Lanka in Pallekele to undergo bowling action test in Chennai. He was granted an Indian visa on Wednesday. The PCB had earlier requested the ICC to extend deadline of July 4 for the test, for Hafeez had not been granted an Indian visa to travel to the accredited testing Centre in Chennai.
Hafeez has taken Bowling Test in Chennai and still waiting for Test Results, while he is performing marvels with bowl and bat. Hafeez will face 1 year ban if his action is announced illegal. In which case, he won’t be able to participate in T20I World Cup.
